Save material and costs with measurement technology
Konica Minolta Sensing Europe is pleased to announce its participation in the upcoming K 2025 exhibition, the world’s leading trade fair for plastics and rubber, taking place on 8-15 October 2025. Visitors can find Konica Minolta Sensing Europe in Hall 11, Booth F68, where we will present our cutting-edge colour and appearance measurement solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of the plastics and recyclates industry.
Solutions for the plastics industry
When using recycled plastics, accuracy and consistency of colour is not guaranteed. Indeed, adding an additional variable such as recyclates means that it is even more important for masterbatchers and compounders to control the properties and formulation of recycled and virgin material, as well as the colour quality of the final product. New approaches and new technology can help producers work efficiently to meet the demands of a changing market.
More efficiency with innovative measurement technology
Colour matching and correction typically requires many corrections and therefore a lot of time and waste to produce the desired colour.
Konica Minolta Sensing's measuring instruments and software can help manufacturers drastically reduce the steps involved in colour matching and corrections, shortening time to market and improving customer satisfaction and profitability.

Save time and money with efficient software solutions
Konica Minolta's Colour Matching Solution ensures accurate and reliable results, less waste and greater efficiency for manufacturers working with plastics and recyclates. Whether it's virgin polymers, recycled resins or complex blends. By optimising calculations, the software ensures cost savings with high-quality results. The colour formulation software is designed to continuously learn through the addition of laboratory and production samples, more than meeting the unique challenges of the circular economy.
SpectraMagic™NX2 quality control software facilitates the measurement, analysis and communication of digital colour data. The screen display and user interface can be flexibly adapted to meet the needs of the company or the various users in the colour supply chain. In addition, the users' visual assessment can be incorporated into the reports and analyses, so the numerical colour data is linked to the visual assessment. Using the software can effectively support colour control, reduce waste and ensure colour accuracy across different product batches.
Colour Measurement solutions for the plastics industry
Benchtop spectrophotometer
CM-36dG: A high-precision stationary spectrophotometer capable of reflectance or transmittance measurements, making it ideal for a wide range of plastic products. An integrated ISO 2813-compliant 60° gloss sensor ensures the simultaneous measurement of colour and gloss. The Instrument incorporates other functions to benefit Plastic and Rubber producers such as status LEDs, a camera preview for sample positioning and report generation, and flexible port orientation (device can be used horizontally or rotated by 90°, e.g. to measure powdery materials in "top port" style).
CM-3700A Plus: The CM-3700A Plus sets new standards in colour measurement. Equipped with an integrated camera, a status display panel and sensors for detecting environmental influences, it offers maximum precision and reliability for the most critical colour control applications. With innovative features such as wavelength analysis and adjustment (WAA), and a user-friendly design, the CM-3700A Plus is Konica Minolta's Flagship colour measurement instrument.
Portable spectrophotometer
CM-17d: A portable spectrophotometer with a vertical design that allows precise positioning of the measurement aperture with minimal contact with the object. With simultaneous measurement of SCI and SCE and an LED light source, the colourimeter provides accurate and repeatable results for a wide range of surfaces.
CM-26d series: With its lightweight ergonomic design, optional Bluetooth™ and high-resolution TFT colour display, the CM-26d series is an ideal solution for most colour measurement applications and particularly those with flat profiles. It offers great flexibility when used with two easily interchangeable measuring apertures with Ø 8 mm (MAV) and Ø 3 mm (SAV) to facilitate the measurement of all sample sizes and shapes. The CM-26dG further expands the utility of this versatile device including a ISO 2813-compliant 60° gloss sensor for simultaneous measurement of colour and gloss
