CL-700A Illuminance Spectrophotometer with wide illuminance range and VIS NIR measurement

The CL-700A is an innovative new illuminance spectrophotometer with the capability of measuring from 0.01-200,000lux and 360-1000nm, ideal for existing and emerging lighting technologies. The device can be operated directly as a single measuring head or in a martix of upto 15 units to measure simultaneously over a larger area. Measurement speed for low illuminance environments has been improved measuring as low as 0.01 lx in just 5 seconds and super FAST mode measurement in as little as 0.3 sec.

Main Applications

  • Evaluation of nighttime environments
  • Lowlight performance testing of smartphones
  • Inspection of industrial light sources (including 360nm)
  • Evaluate uniformity of lit environments and projectors
  • Inspection of floodlight / streetlight
  • Inspection of lighting in commercial greenhouses
  • Evaluation of NIR light sources used in security or defence applications

Features

  • Measure from 360-1000 nm for characterisation of VIS and NIR light: Spectroscopic measurement across an expanded wavelength range to ensure the quality and functional performance of light; whether LEDs, projectors, characterisation of imaging sensors, smartphone cameras, security systems and more.
  • Accurately measure from ultra-low to high illuminance environments from 0.01 lx to 200,000 lx including S/P ratio information with faster measurement time at low illuminance and improved repeatability of low light data.
  • Measure large areas effectively and accurately using a matrix of up to 15 measurement heads, devices are connected and networked over commercially available POE ethernet.
  • Lightweight and compact with modern connectivity, the CL-700A can easily be integrated into inspection or manufacturing equipment and built into workflows with the SDK to allow continuous automated data.
  • Dedicated measurement and control software provides real-time visualisation of captured data and simple storage or output of data.

Stadium lighting

Advanced spectral analysis and multi-point measurement capabilities can be used to ensure uniform brightness and colour across vast venues, helping you meet international standards and deliver an exceptional experience for every event. Measuring data for TLCI ensures broadcast quality lighting throughout environments.

Architectural lighting

Broad wavelength coverage and efficient multi-point analysis enables designers and engineers to verify lighting quality, enhance aesthetics, and ensure compliance with design specifications. Additional measurement indexes like EML (Equivalent Melanopic Lux) and PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) ensure that the environment considers both human occupants and the health of architectural foliage.

Studio lighting

Rapid, accurate measurements across a wide illuminance range and rendering data like TM-30, CRI and TLCI data ensures that every detail is perfectly captured to create optimal lighting environments for broadcast, photography, and production.

Street lighting

High-speed, low-light measurement and wide illuminance range allow for thorough evaluation of street lighting installations, ensuring consistent performance and reliable illumination to optimize public safety and energy efficiency.

Horticulture

Precise spectral measurement capabilities (with PPFD Photosynthetic photon flux density data) provides information used for fine-tune lighting conditions for horticultural applications, supporting healthy development and efficient energy use in controlled environments to maximise growth and yield.

Illuminance & Colour Calibration of Mobile Devices

Measure both visible and near-infrared light, combined with rapid, multi-point analysis to perform accurate sensor calibration and quality assurance for next-generation imaging technologies and features like facial recognition.
