Konica Minolta Sensing have a global service network providing a number of options for calibration, maintenance and repair of our instruments. Annual calibration measurement data provides traceability to international standards which is required by some quality management systems.
Preventive maintenance through periodic inspections, cleaning, and calibration of equipment can prevent sudden breakdown and expenses, impacting your productivity.
MAINTENANCE SERVICE PROPOSALS
Konica Minolta Sensing offers “return to base” and “onsite” preventative maintenance schemes including the option for provision of a loan unit. We are also able to provide remedial maintenance and fit replacement parts.
A service and calibration schedule along with a valid calibration certificate is not only good practice for the long term health of your asset and accuracy and traceability of colour data. A calibration certificate is required for ISO Certification and most audit schemes.

Who can provide service on Konica Minolta instruments?
Only service stations authorized by Konica Minolta can provide maintenance on Konica Minolta instruments in line with manufacturer guidelines. Only these service stations have trained engineers, master instruments, tools, software and know-how to Service Konica Minolta instruments.

On-site Inspection Service:
This is a paid service in which our technician travels to the
destination of the target product, inspects whether the product specifications are met, and reports the inspection results in an inspection report.
* If a malfunction is confirmed at the time of inspection, it will be picked up and repaired.
Precautions:
- Please make a request at least 2 months in advance.
- As a general rule, our products will be inspected alone. If it is installed on other equipment, please remove it and prepare it before performing the inspection.
- If you have any questions about the current usage situation, please fill in the special notes column of the application form or contact us.
- If a malfunction is confirmed at the time of inspection, it will be picked up and repaired, and in that case, an on-site fee and actual business trip expenses will be charged. Please note that the pick-up repair fee will be charged separately.
Timing of the periodic inspection and calibration of contracted products
- Customers who have not yet performed periodic inspection / calibration services will be notified one month before the end of the contract period.
- For customers who have continued to have a contract, they will be informed of the periodic inspections / calibration based on the previous history.
- Periodic inspections and calibrations are handled on a one-year cycle.
Precautions
Even within the contract period, in the following cases, it will be returned unrepaired or repaired for a fee:
- When the serial number of the product cannot be identified.
- When the product is modified, disassembled, repaired, etc. by a person outside Konica Minolta network.
- When misuse, maloperation, dropping, submersion, splashing, etc.
- When used in combination with products and parts other than those specified by Konica Minolta.
- When using parts other than those specified by Konica Minolta.
- In the event of damage due to a natural disaster such as an earthquake, or an accident such as a fire or an explosion at the installation location of the product.
- When the content of the request for repair is not clear.
- If Konica Minolta is unable to procure repair parts through no fault of its own.
- If you are a new customer and the product has already broken down once before.
- When accessories are not covered by the service contract.
