Inspection & Calibration Services



The inspection and calibration service is a spot-type paid service in which a dedicated engineer inspects your measuring instrument to ensure that it meets the product specifications, adjusts and calibrates it in an environment based on ISO17025 certification, and issues a calibration certificate and inspection pass.

Konica Minolta issues calibration certificates for its measuring instrument products through various calibration services. Our calibration department is certified by an external organization to comply with ISO 17025, and the standards used for calibration ensure metrological traceability that leads to international standards.

Calibration certificates can be used as proof of quality reliability in transactions, and can also be used to prove traceability with national standards in quality control and quality assurance according to international standards for quality assurance.

About repairs



The repair and calibration service is a spot-type paid service that repairs and inspects the defective part of the measuring instrument product you are suing, and issues a calibration certificate and inspection pass certificate based on the adjusted data.

Warranty after repair:

The warranty period for repaired products is 3 months from the date of return of the repaired product. If a problem occurs in the same place or the same phenomenon within 3 months after delivery, we will repair it again free of

charge.

In-warranty repairs:

The warranty period of the product is one year from the date of purchase. Products within the warranty period will be repaired free of charge, except in the following cases. If you purchase an Extended Warranty Agreement, the warranty period will be automatically extended until the end of the agreement.

During the warranty period, we will provide free repairs. However, the warranty service does not cover the following situations:

  • Damage caused by careless use, such as damage or leakage, etc.;
  • Damage caused by improper use (not in accordance with the operating instructions);
  • Failure caused by operating or storing the instrument outside the temperature and humidity conditions described in the "Instrument Operation Manual";
  • Problems caused by disassembly, repair or modification not authorized and approved by our company;
  • Failure and damage caused by force majeure and accidents (such as natural disasters, fires, etc.);
  • Consumption of consumable parts (e.g. light source, battery, printer paper, etc.);
  • Calibration services.

Out-of-warranty repairs:

All repairs outside the warranty period of the product will be handled for a fee, except for products with a maintenance contract. The warranty period after repair is three months from the date of return of the instrument.

During the warranty period, if there is a problem with the repaired parts due to non-human factors, our company will provide free reconstruction.

However, we will recommend purchasing a new instrument if:

  • If spare parts or instruments are no longer available;
  • In the event of damage due to falling water, strong impact, severe contamination or corrosion, it is no longer possible to confirm the restoration of the function of the instrument;
  • If the deformation is caused by a drop or strong impact, even the replacement of the main parts will not restore the instrument to its normal function;
  • Due to the aging of the product or the harsh use environment, multiple parts have to be replaced due to aging and failure;
  • Even during the repair service period, if the parts cannot be supplied.



Generally, within 7 years after the end of product sales, we will keep the parts of the product and provide repair services.
